SVR Badge and the local scrotes

Just come back from a day out in the car. stopped at a couple of places along the way

Thought I saw something odd as the boot lid closed. Looks like somebody has tried to prise off my rear SVR badge. Grrrrrrrr!

The metal 'R' is bent and now at a 45 degree angle to the boot. what a load of <beep> <beeps>. Am furious. only had the car a month.

tried to get it back into shape but no chance. the whole badge needs to come off, be reformed and put back. guess I need to find a local body shop to do the work.

Might see if LR can do it as there is an outstanding job they need to fix on the paint.

great way to ruin a day. Not confident it will be the last time either.... SVR with a few bits from Urban and Glohh

Use masking tape on the boot lid to out line badge location then using a hair dryer heat it up, then either some dental floss or something thin and plastic to pull it off. Wrap the badge in a cloth and then squeeze it in a vice to straighten it. (If it looks ok or your happy with it) Use a glue / tar remover to clean off any residue and remaining stick pad from the car and badge (wd40 also works but needs to be cleaned off afterwards) warm both the badge and surface it's being stuck to reapply some double sided trim tape, then stick back in place while both surfaces are still warm.

Sorry to hear mate.
Heat the remainder of the badge with a hairdryer and use dental floss to pry it off. Then use WD40 to clean up the residue. New badge off ebay or Dan from Duckworth (in the sponsored section of this forum) can get you one if you give him your chassis number.

Body shop will only rip you off - this is pretty easy to do yourself...

Hope all is well on that Devon, if there's no complaint that helps and can it not be justified as self defence, preemptive strike etc. Nanocom Evo

Bloody gits, sorry to hear that mate, I feel your pain... My front lower grill badge has broken after just 5 days. Don't think it's a robbing scrote as they would have done all the hard work then left it behind? It's only had one jet wash and would be very surprised if it broke two torq screws but I don't know where to point the finger!
Stealer wants £110 plus an hours labour as it's a grill out job, terrific...
