Radio and SatNav LCD Staying on

If I unlock my car (just to get something out of it) and then relock it the 2 displays seam to remain on.

Is this a common problem/fault? I guess I need to actually time it and see if they do actually go off ! Yawn

To get round this I turn the ignition on and off and once the car is locked they do go off within a minute or two

It's "standard operating procedure".

Mine does that as well, (and all others..)

The displays will go to sleep in one to two minutes..

Hopefully will test it at the weekend.

Of course I could sit in it. Won't be as cold then.

When you pop out to the car, get whatever you need then go back indoors just as someone calls you on your mobile... Hello, hello, hello... nobody on the line... then you realise, the person who called you is talking to the inside of your car.... hello, hello, hello Laughing Big Cry

I have checked (with the suspension in access mode if it makes any difference)

With me outside the car it took 9 minutes 30 secs to shut down the 2 displays !

In future I think I will be cycling the ignition to I when I pop out to the car!
Radio display then switches off in 1 minute
