Not a happy chap.

I'm meant to be picking up my 13 plate Range Rover sport from the dealer tomorrow which I've been excited about all week but not heard from the dealer all week so rang at 4 pm today and asked for the salesman and was told he's with a customer and will call you back in a few minutes. Get a call back at 6 pm asking what he could do for me so asked what time I need to come in to collect my car to be told, Oh sorry sir but it's not going to be ready tomorrow now so what about collecting one day during the week !

The dealer was the one who arranged for tomorrow after I paid my deposit last Saturday. They have now said they haven't had time to have it cleaned yet and the accounts department don't work weekends so we can't invoice the car to you and can't do anything about it till Monday now.

To say I'm Censored off is an understatement to the point I'm tempted to pull out of the deal and take my business elsewhere! But it's the perfect car and after a look on the internet I can't find another that I like.

Should I be asking them for a discount or some form of compensation for the cock up they have made ?

Disappointing but they may not discount it (not massively anyway) for just a few days' delay. If you like the car, my advice would be to stick with them. Perhaps asking for a few accessories FoC as a goodwill gesture won't be inappropriate to compensate for their delay and more importantly failure to be proactive. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I always thought this sort of thing was their top priority.

Hope nothing is wrong. Maybe they have been checking outstanding TSB's

It was the dealer that pushed for me to collect it on Saturday and I've heard nothing all week from them till I rang to ask what time.
I now have no car to use all weekend as didn't think I needed one.

Sounds like a loan car for the weekend minimum. Alright if they'd phoned in the week to tell you about the delay but you had to instigate the response from them. Very poor. They owe you, and they want you to buy the car or they'd gave to start all the sales process again and find another buyer. You would appear to have the whip hand here so push a bit. Robin

Make sure though that it is a car of equivalent quality/ value or more, don't be fobbed off with "I'm afraid all we can let you use is 3 year old part exchanged Evoque or Freelander." There's nothing wrong with either of those but there is no way that they are the equivalent of even a 3 year old RRS 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Remember me asking if it was Tonbridge ?
http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic46522....p;start=15

Censored Censored Censored - you can fill in the words for me now !!!
I drove 200 miles last Feb - the incoming Sport was a mess - at one stage I walked away - the headliner looked as if someone had got a teabag & threw it around the cockpit Evil or Very Mad I asked where the mats was - he replied `wont you be using your previous Sports mats` ( I was exchanging a 61 Plate RRS ) The alloys had been refurbed - the Censored had skimmed a couple of millimetres off a couple on the one side - they looked ridiculous. I made them clean the headliner & take the alloys off my part exchange & put them on the purchased vehicle. I left without taxing the vehicle & got a snotty phone call on the way home. I had left my house at 7am & spent nearly 3 hours at the dealership with my wife & 6 year old son. After I had parked up at home I noticed the lower bib spoiler on the front bumper was hanging off - side steps was rotten & was the first thing I replaced - I took photos of all my issues & emailed the salesman & his manager - never received a reply - when I phoned they was always busy or not available. I had a call regarding customer satisfaction - I told them the story above - they said they would take up the issues for me but guess what never heard a thing back.

A few names that was Censored useless - Danny Forrest - Ike Onyekwere & Nick Simmons.
Print this off & hand it to them if you want Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter bunch of bellends !!!

The Sport was purchased on a weekend Whistle - I understand your frustrations - if it was me I would tell them to go Censored themselves - but they wont be bothered your just buying a used car Exclamation Exclamation 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Now been trying to speak to someone at the dealer for over a hour and just keep getting told they are with customers or in meetings but got a voice mail from the salesman who isn't in this weekend asking me not to go to the dealer today and please wait till Monday as the car hasn't been cleaned and he knows I wouldn't be happy with how the car looks.

Something smells very wrong here as no one even wants to speak to me !

Unless something changes - like they offer you a new Sport for the week - I would tell them exactly what you think Wink 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
