A couple of weeks ago, the rear sensors stopped beeping but the graphics were still displaying on the screen whilst reversing my 2005 RRS. I haven't driven the car since then but today when I took it out, it now seems all the sensors are inactive.

I noticed that "front parking sensors inactive" displayed on the dash panel as soon as I started the car, with the Parking button light flashing on and off constantly. Now nothing beeps or shows on the screen when in reverse at all.

Any clues? I have to say, it's still the easiest car I've had to park in years due to the shape, but I'd like the sensors to be working anyway.

probably need a new sensor at the rear.

The whole system shuts down when there is a fault at one end.


See if they work when frozen. If they do, it's probably water in one of them,

I also have a 2005, s/c version, but my screen does not change when I select reverse etc, should it? Just you saying graphics still come up etc set me thinking
Also, the rear parking sensor looms are prone to failure and water ingress, so might be worth checking there too.
