RRS Coupe or Disco5 Coupe?

OK so I know that many motoring magazines artists imnpressions do not always bear much relation to the final product but in the new edition of Autocar there is an item about new cars coming in 2017. Almost next to each other (maybe unfortunate for JLR) are photos/impressions of the RRS Coupe, Discovery 5 and the iPace is shown a few pages later. Now the picture of the RRS Coupe shows a car that, from the B pillars forward is a Discovery 5, grille, vents, wings, screen and doors............. now I would be in the market for an RRS Coupe but most certainly not if the front end looks anything like the ugly front of the D5. Now if JLR rebadged the Jaguar iPace as the new RRS Coupe I think they would be on to a winner, but looking like a D5, no hope. Hoping that the RRS Coupe pic is just a poor Photoshop of a Disco5 front "copy and pasted" onto an Evoque rear.........
I get the electronic version of Autocar and cannot print the pages to scan/ photo them unfortunately 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Something like this Tim?

As well as the questionable aesthetics, the RRS Coupe will be coil sprung. It'll basically be a Jag F-Pace in a RR suit.

Can't see the point. May as well have called it Evoque LWB or something because that's what it'll be.

Obviously designed for the urban crowd and yet another nail in LR's off road heritage coffin. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I see no point in a RRS Coupe or crossover or whatever it is meant to be. Maybe JLR believes there are many more F Pace buyers out there that are more likely to commit with a Range Rover badge instead of Jaguar Rolling Eyes

That's the picture - I'm sure that Jerry McGovern's answer will be like the D5 going to take Discovery up market, RRS coupe has been demanded by 1000's of RRS owners who want a 2.0 engine and minimal off-road ablility...................... of course nobody has ever met any of these demanding people. Remember back in 2007-2008 there was an RRS coupe launched by a small company London, proper RRS based on the l320 platform but even then it was £120k........ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Whatever else we might hypothesise, JLR would not launch any model without establishing the market for it beforehand. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Yes, it appears to be an F-Pace with an LR badge and RRS interior. I was put off the F-Pace due to the crap interior, we shall see how it looks, but if the cabin is more up market than the Jags, it will be a real faux pas for Jag, who seem to be going the wrong way imho. Gone:
