Seriously narked lady here!!!
My first post was regarding the loss of power on my RR and my mechanic and I changed both EGR valves (I used HAAS parts) one valve was stuck open.
Mechanic said car was going alright - nope!
Still felt it lacked power although I wasn't getting smoke out upon starting like I was. Drove 30 miles today, got a car wash on way home and on the way out....up it pops again "ENGINE SYSTEM FAULT" The RR basically is gutless and does not change gear when it should (its an auto) and coming up a long but not too steep hill, I went down to 30mph - thank god it was foggy so no one could see me and my red face of anger and embarrassment!! I was not happy
I don't have issues with my mechanic, he's a top chap, lets me get involved, I source my own parts a lot of the time and we've been friends for years now
I do have issue with the dealer, what a total he is!!
Looking at the historic code P132B - and experiencing the power of a backfired tortoise, then it looks like I'm stuffed as much as my turbo

Now, the other bit. I've had my balance and tracking done twice, but, everytime I turn a bend (not just a corner, just a piddly bend) the traction control comes on. I wonder if I'm ever gonna catch a break here. Anyone have any idea why this happens? and how I fix it? I had new brake pads on the front in Nov 2016, and discs and pads on the back Dec 2016 and again I'm mortified being overtaken by Y reg fords who can corner quicker than me

Seriously thinking of chucking the towel in and selling as it is - cut my losses. Wish I'd never chucked in my Discovery now... sorry for the downer rant...

For the uninitiated, what is 'EGR'? (Exhaust Gas Recirculation?). Is this an 'eco' thing, and of no benefit to performance, and thus can be done away with? If so, does this affect exhaust gas tests at MOT?

Hey Donny, yes its exhaust gas recirculation. As far as I am aware (been a steep learning curve) they do affect performance and yes they do make a difference on MOT gas testing

it is not, that is why the MOT test is being overhauled to include "something" to test for this 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater )))

I can personally vouch for Steve and the team. You'll struggle to find a nicer more knowledgeable bunch anywhere (certainly in Somerset), honest and fair prices

Hi all, no new codes which is great
Had the actuator sorted, so now is free moving and certainly, coupled with the new EGR valves I'm now back to driving something like what I bought!
Also got some new tyres all round today so for now, all is going ok.
I would say however, its definitely not 100% so here's hoping the job I got interviewed for today I get, and then I can save up for a trip to Somerset and see TS Norman and get things tuned up and really sorted.
Thankfully so far, I've only needed iro £600 to sort the valves and actuator (not counting the £400+ on tyres) so I'm not quite destitute... hopefully onward and upward for now
Just need the parking sensors sorted now, but that's just gonna have to wait
