I fly to Atlanta (Tim what an airport that is!!!?) a fair bit to head office with BA mostly - if ever dissatisfied asking for a comments card has a great response - as does electing to post it not give it to staff on arrival.... Laughing

As a rule I always 'complain' twice - stock answer nevers expects a follow up but the second effort demonstrates true frustration. I once complained to Halifax for poor service, was 'threatened' with charges which I counter challenged with charges for my time and they paid up!!

I've never had a problem with KLM and as Singletrack says they are middle of the road. Air France is by far the worst airline I have attempted to fly on and they seem to think that part of good customer service is to take your money and then resell your seat to somebody else, or if they haven't sold a full plane load of seats then the y cancel the flight at no notice. I have flown once first class with them and was still dumped at CDG to wait for 9 hours for a flight to Glasgow. When I told them i could fly on BA direct every 2 hours and wanted my baggage so i could buy a ticket they refused to hand over my bags saying it was impossible to sort them out of the baggage hall! Having flown back from Hong Kong on AF in first class all they could offer as compensation was the use of the first class lounge - we negotiated and I ended up in a hotel room for the night but I have never again flown AF. My brother used to fly every 3 weeks to and from Rio on them, again always in business or first, more ofetn than not he found that he was bumoped off the flight or it was cancelled at no notice. It got so bad that the oil company he worked for banned all staff from flying AF out to the oil rigs in Brazil and they went on varig where they were treated like valued customers. Personnally if I am flying at my own expence to the USA I travel on Icelandair, excellent service and a business class return on them costs a lot less than clubworld on BA or any of the Skyteam partners! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Oh - and forgot to add I have currently a complaint in with car insurer for poor admin and service - I am on my third we'll get back to you because we cannot deal with difficult complaints letter.... Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Indeed actions do speak louder than words. I'm a big aviation guy and I have flown quite a few airlines. By far I've found Skyteam to be the most obnoxious, horrid and disconcering group of people in an alliance than any other. On the other hand BA Cabin Crew are by far the friendliest whilst their SH C Meals are appauling.
LH C is very good in terms of meals (LH Marketing here Very Happy) however you get either a good or bad crew.
IB is a big NO NO!
LH F is beautiful...I flew to HKG with 1 other person in F with me and it was really quite nice however it does not compare to SQ First.
SQ F really is the dogs b****ks. The seat drowned me it was so big (never drowns my dad though Laughing ).
My dad fly's a lot with the SQ, CX and EK. Usually F or C and so racks up a lot of miles. We've both found that if your a member of the FFP then your words get taken more seriously. If your really quite high up the scale then they usually offer some compensation if you make a rather bad report.
American carriers in general (apologies to Americans) are renown for bad service in terms of quality, customer service and general scope.
Most lack the finesse of an asian carrier whilst they lack the scope of a european and have no comparison to the quality of someone like QR or EK.
