I think your engine is still very new and possibly needs another 1000 miles on it. I live in Scotland but take delivery of my new cars from West London - I must admit that I did get in excess of 37mpg (by calculation not on the trip computer which is about 15-20% over-generous!) driving my SDv6 home in March 2015. Do you have Adaptive Cruise on your car because I found that had a bad effect on my mpg when I had it on my last RRS as it tended to apply the brakes if a car cut into the forward alert area in front of the car, so it could re-establish the set distance between the cars. I have a conventional cruise on the present RRS. On previous new Range Rovers I have noticed that the ECU seems to be programmed to change the engine tune and gear shift points at 1000 miles and 3000 miles and the fuel consumption improves noticeably at those miles. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Mine is the 306bhp version too and recently had TSB Q634 applied which made it feel a lot more lively than before but also the mpg has taken a bit of a hit, down from an average of >36 to around 33mpg in normal fast A road driving which is a bit disappointing but the new found response is more than making up for it! I live in the sticks and never use the car for commuter driving as I don't need to commute to/from work. Local town is a small market town too with three sets of traffic lights so not a lot of stop start driving either unless I go into Glasgow (nightmare at the moment and Park and Ride is better for the fuel consumption and my blood pressure!). As a new built car yours should have the Q634 upgrade already applied at the end of the production line. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Interesting , my son in law dropped around in his new V8 diesel Toyota Landcruiser , it was running 14 mpg as a new car. personally I am getting about 30 mpg out of mine driving it like I stole it, and when one thinks what you have to pay for this car fuel economy isn't a big part of the cost. I get better MPG than my V10 R50 and seem to go more than a week without a refuel. Do think since last service the economy has got a little poorer but I take this for the nuch improved performance.
