On a what?
What's on the logo?
ACE & power steering fluid http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/STC50519G
This may be the valve block, but most usually this is caused by a leak from one or both ASB. If your car is covered by a warranty, better hurry up to make use of it, it's a 2000 quid job per one ASB. BTW it's not a jeep nor a truck. Regards etc., Wojtek --- WAS: 2006 RRS Supercharged IS: 2010 RRS TDV8 HSE |

He means a Jeep is a Jeep and a Land Rover is a Land Rover. Americans like to refer them as jeeps, trucks, rovers, but they're all wrong!

Yeah rang dealer this morning they said it would have to be left down to them and they would have their mechanic repair it. I just clarified that it was under warranty and he confirmed that it is, last thing I need on the mouth of Christmas is an unexpected bill.

They are taking the LR on Thursday to repair. There are a few little other niggles too they are going to look at. He said it could be something as simple as dirt around sensors on the rear or even when it was being washed they said power hose could touch them. Although in fairness it is sitting a little off on the passenger rear side arch when parked, it sits about 1-1.5cm lower than driver side rear arch. |

The icon of what you term a jeep on the filler cap is the universal icon for an SUV............... If you have it, on your remote opener for the rear hatch there may be an icon of a saloon car with it's boot open, doesn't make the car a saloon car!! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The logo and the yellow cap you refer to are for the dynamic response system. It's a pair of hydraulically adjusted anti roll bars. It allows a soft response at low speed and a firm one at high speed for stability. It's effective but can be prone to problems with age. It's the garage's responsibility to sort it so don't worry. People advise against the brand but they've never enjoyed the good things. The comfort, the go anywhere ability, the towing capability etc. The chaps in the Disco3 forum refer to it as "perma-grin" and I think that's a good description. Get it sorted and then enjoy driving it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Don't panic, mate. When I first got mine some years back, I worried about every little thing, and there's always stuff that needs doing when you first buy a car. But do your research (read this site is a very good start), and fix the faults. IIRC when the warning light comes on, there should also be a message pop up on the display (not the sat nav, the one between the rev counter and the speedo), telling you what it's related too. Something like "Suspension Inactive". |

Typhoo, there really is nothing to worry about or be panicked. These cars have so much equipment on them that some things do fail from time to time. You have a warranty, the garage has agreed to sort it so no worries. Just make sure you purchase another warranty ( from a reputable company ) before the existing runs out and you can calm down and just enjoy driving these great cars.
