England 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Java Black
Cat Back Exhaust

Afternoon chaps

As per the title really, I left work today and noticed on approaching my car that one of the exhausts was facing downwards MY2005 SC , on closer inspection and with a small wiggle (technical term) the back box completely snapped off leaving me with a rear end with one pipe Sad

I have located this cat back exhaust and thought it was reasonable price etc, my Q is : will this

http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/range-rov...ink-p.html

fit my car and also has anyone had any dealings with this company/ Exhaust itself

thanks in advance

Craddocks are a respected supplier of all things Land Rover although they tend to provide more parts for older models like Defender, Discos 1,2,3 and earlier Freelanders. Maybe L320 RRS can now be branded as an older model! They are suppliers of parts often made by the OEM manufacturers but at lower prices than if you bought from an LR franchised dealership. You might even get one cheaper from a specialist exhaust supplier though. Are you going to replace both sides or only the one that has rotted through - might be the other is soon to follow it...... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Definitely replacing both sides, the rear boxes look alot smaller than the ones on my car at the moment s i am assuming its not oem parts ? ie like for like?

Does that look like an ok system they have for sale? it is quite a bit cheaper than others i had seen/spec'd up

The other option would be a Magnaflow exhaust, a bit more sporty with no rear boxes. I have fitted several double S exhausts to other Land Rover models and wouldn't fit one to my own car.
Most people would prefer a little bit more burble but wouldn't want it droning at 60 mph whilst cruising.
I would recommend finding someone who will build a system to your own requirements as it wouldn't cost much more and you can have it how you want it. Life's too short to drive boring cars !

Thanks orange RRS I have been doing some searching online and its looking like a bespoke system as off the shelf parts are getting scarce for early model sports it seems.

as a relative novice on these topics is a double s exhaust basically bottom end replacement for my car? I dont mind paying more if needed and would love to release a little bit of anger from the engine..

I have a 2005 SC exhaust sat on my drive that I removed to fit a Magnaflow. I cut one of the studs off where it joins the front pipe but I've drilled it out already to accept a bolt. Other than that it's perfect. Feel free to pm me an offer Thumbs Up

It's definitely a cheap and cheerful job., I want a bit more noise from my old girl but it's still in one piece at the moment.
I was thinking of a Magnaflow and if it was a bit too noisy fitting some rear silencers if I couldn't live with it.
Some manufacturers give on option of resonated and non resonated silencers
A friend of mine had a Vauxhall VXR8 with a switchable exhaust that was controlled by a remote control that went from loud to silent at a push of a button, I could live with one of those on my RRS. Life's too short to drive boring cars !

The OP is quite near the legendary Hayward and Scott exhaust specialists in Basildon. Why not give them a call and see if they can fabricate a bespoke exhaust to your exact requirements? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

No worries. Yes it was a straight bolt on fit, massive weight saving too. I paid a couple of hundred quid for mine off a mate on here
