United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Java Black
TDV8's

Seen a few nice TDV8's this past week but am worried about residuals due to higher tax and mpg, they were circa £8k more when new so why don't they demand a higher price on the second hand market?

I've been monitoring RRS AB's since the summer now and prices have gone up if anything, I don't want to sink all my money in to a car I won't be able to shift on as I only keep my cars 12 months.

Cheers

Agreed, but are they a pig to sell on? If so I'm sure I can barter on purchase price to counter the extra 12 months road fund fee Wink

Owning the SVD8 I would much prefer to the 6 but my reasons are not about 4 sale but more about the drive. I am also sure I will be controversial in my opinions but this is how I see things. No add blue for the V8 so a big saving and less hassle, better torque and a little better 0-60 performance. Fuel economy seems very similar bigger motor not working as hard. My car is also much rarer which adds value in the 2nd hand market here. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

I've got a feeling diesel isn't over £1.20 a litre down there then!

My HST was a TDV8, loved it, think I may put an offer in on one.

Fuel has been as low as Aussie $1.00 and at he moment about $1.30 which would be about 80 pence a litre. So you are correct, but as stated the difference in economy of the 6 to the 8 isn't worth considering especially when we pay about eighty thousand pounds to get into one of these over priced under specked machines. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Is the TDV8 now a twin turbo, the same as the SDV6, or still just a single turbo on each bank? Gone:

My understanding was, there isn't Add Blue on the V6 either, in Australia.

Also, a turbo on each bank is a twin turbo, as far as I know.. Wink 2017 MY17 SDV6 SE

It is, but it won't be a sequential twin turbo.

Which is what the V6 is. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
