How to reset service warning indicator ?

Guys, what's the process to reset the service warning countdown indicator on a RRSC if you are carrying out your own oil-changes and maintenance ?

Thanks a lot.

I've not tried this on the RRS, but I know the BMW equivalent version is very touchy around the delays in pressing the buttons and gaps between double-presses etc

I think when this was posted before the likes of Bobby chipped in saying something about it not being 'enabled' on all cars IIRC..... Confused

Did you manage to reset the indicator using another method or did you have to visit the dealership ?

Thanks

Dealer Big Cry

The only thing that came up with some key sequence was a sort of date that could have been build date ....

So it looks like I have to pay the dealer to reset the service interval, any idea what they're likely to charge me ?

I tried this on my 2006 RRS with no joy.
Also, I can't find any reset tool on the internet that will work on the RRS.
It looks like the dealers are the only ones that can reset, but I hate them all so much, I'd rather not bother, and have the warning flash up occasionally!

Bob.

Anyone with a IDS tool can do it. Try ringing around your local auto electricians. Dealers want about £35 (If they are willing as the car would not of been serviced by them)
