I don't use mine much, only on a really fast cross country blast. 2012 MY 3.0 SDV6 HSE, Alive tuned. I can't see any way of disabling them on this MY, but that said, when I am of a mind to use them, they work in both S and D mode and in dynamic and normal modes, and all possible variants or combinations of these 4 modes. |

I would like them to work like my old R50. No matter what mode revert to auto after either starting from stop or if in the wrong gear. Other this like the ability to select. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |

With my RRS you cannot select the wrong gear using paddle shift, it will not change a gear if the ECU detects out of parameter conditions. I agree that if you stop in Commandshift (LR speak for manual shifting with the paddles) it is a pain having to go through the setting procedure to get back into manual mode especially when you are offroad in less than ideal conditions - it may be something to do with software that requires the car to be in P or N to restart the engine and that defaults to P when you switch off the ignition. I don’t have the auto-lowering function on my car but I wonder how that stops the car lowering when you are offroad and want to get out - do you have to manually disable it for off-road use? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The auto access height feature can be disabled in the dash menu. |

But if left in auto mode will it stop the car lowering if there is an obstruction beneath the car? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

That’s a very good question. I am not sure and am reluctant to experiment but will try to find out! |

I use the paddles quite a bit where in my old TDV8 I hardly ever used the manual gear change on the stick. I find the 8 speed gearbox too often tries to stay in a high gear - presumably for emissions reasons. I've given up counting the number of times I've asked for a bit power and sat there waiting for it all to decide what to do. It's nearly had me hit by other cars a couple of times. It's all very smooth and pleasant when pottering but if asked to lift its skirts, it's very hesitant. Stick it in dynamic mode and sport and it's a totally different animal. All very Jekyll and Hyde. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Over and above the off-road height, what would be a safe extra height that one could program using the IID tool?
