Faulthy Diesel Injectors!

Hi RRS fans Wink

I've send all my 8 injectors from my RRS TDV8 3.6 diesel to a Bosch service, for ultrasonic cleaning and testing.
4 of the 8 are faulthy...

Now they say that these injectors can't be Reconditioned, and a new one is +- 500 Euro's / piece !! :-/

There are 2 different types of injectors in my engine:
-Siemens 6H4Q9K546DB
-Siemens 6H4Q9K546EB

Now I found a website who sells Reconditioned ones for only 130GBP.
=> http://www.commonraildiesels.com/product_i...253-p-5022

Anybody who has knowledge from this website ?
Is it really possible to Reconditioned these injectors?

And wich order do I need to install these 2 types of injectors?
I thought all 8 were the same ...

Thanks in advance !!

Didn't you make a note of the injectors as you removed them ?

Also can't you get the old injectors back and confirm the serial numbers that way ?

No, because I thought that all 8 injectors where the same...
I can't find the right order online

I still have the old injectors, they have the serial numbers that I mentioned in my first post...

I phoned a reputable diesel specialist that I trust here in the uk and they confirmed that the tdv8
Injectors cannot be refurbished as Siemens wont release the components needed for them,
They quoted around £250 each for new ones or they had some used tested and cleaned ones for
£125 each so it sounds like the refurbished ones you have mentioned are probably just cleaned
used injectors but if the firm isn't upfront & honest about it how do you know there is actually a fault with
yours and they aren't just selling you someone elses supposedly faulty ones after just cleaning
them which is all you wanted in the first place.
Also I would think that the 2 different part no's would be for left or right hand banks and it would be
clear when you have them in front of you as the fuel lines would probably come out in the wrong
position.

If your interested the firm I called was Swadlincote diesels.

The link provided earlier also states they're for the Freelander 3.6TD V8. Awesome idea! But not confidence inspiring. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

It looks like they are £100+VAT each after the £30 refund for sending in your old injectors (for them to do a bit of split n polish to sell to the next guy). And they have 100% 5 start reviews, see http://www.commonraildiesels.com/reviews.php which is on the internet so it must be true.

hmmm... Swadlincote diesels sounds like the better bet, perhaps. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Is there any update on this? I was wondering if the op tried any of the mentioned companies as I now need 4 injectors myself so before I give Swadlincote a try I thought I would see how this story ended Clickadeeclick

I thought I'd make an update on this to help anyone looking for new injectors for a Tdv8, I myself called commonraildiesels.com who are actually a company called specialist diesel injection services and the chap seemed to know his stuff and when I questioned them offering recon injectors when parts are unavailable for them he explained that it's the solenoids that are the only part not available for them but that they use solenoids from another Siemens injector that work exactly the same way but that the wiring needed to be extended to reach.
Now that for me wasn't an option but reckons at least he was honest about it and he said that most people opt for that rather than new prices, they then quoted me £225+Vat each for new genuine sealed boxed VDO Siemens units which was £25 per unit cheaper than the other guys I mentioned earlier and they just specified they were new.
Anyway I ordered 4 in total 2 of each type and they turned up first thing next morning but they had sent 4 of one type even though the invoice stated 2+2 so I suspect it's possible that it may have been a Siemens cock up, apart from that they were exactly as he stated and were factory sealed Siemens brand new units.
They also pay for return carriage for the old units which is unusual, Clickadeeclick
