2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

Rr sport 2008 radio lcd display

Guys. features here left his sunroof open overnight on the wettest night of the year... Radio took the brunt of it and now lcd display has faded to almost invisible.. LR just quoted me 1600 to replace it... Can't be right surely?? Anyone had or heard of similar problem and best option please... I can't be the only dude to have done this... Or maybe... 😑🔫

If your handy at diy you can just buy the LCD screen and ribbon cable and repair it. Possible remove and dismantle and place the screen in a bag of rice like they do with mobile phone when wet.

Thanks but I don't see anything about repairing the radio LCD as required by the OP and myself. That company does lots of L322 stuff and D3/RRS satnav LCD display and ribbons but nothing indicated for the radio.

I will send them an email to clarify.

Mick, If purchasing new from LR, then unfortunately, yes replacement units are around £1600 mark or more for some models. Could you claim on your car insurance? John

The £149.99 item is a complete Satnav Touchscreen complete not a radio screen.

They just responded to my email - they do not do the LCD screen for a L320 radio. 07MY RRS TDV6

My apologies i did not realise they only supplied the ribbon cable, But it depends on the fault, If the screen is fully lit but its just the text that is faded then only a new ribbon replacement is required, However if the screen itself is beyond repair then these guys look professional and claim to replace the whole screen aswell .

Yeah mate screen is intact and lit. Text is faded so you reckon just a new ribbon??
