IPOD docking station

On my 2007 RRS I have an Ipod docking station that fixed to the right hand side of my steering wheel, just where the headlamps switch is. This connects to a component (this component does have a Land Rover sticker on it - so was assuming it was factory fitted?) that I found behind the knee plate under the steering wheel.

When I plug my Ipod into it, it shows charging but don't know how to play the music through the system speakers? Does it matter what generation of Ipod it is? as I think mines is a 3rd gen Ipod Thumbs Up RRS 2.7 HSE Stornoway Grey

sounds like the audio connectivity module. stereo needs to be on AUX for it to work. Theres usually another AV /USB input in the glove box. Theres a small hole in that box that you can reset the module for if needed. theres also a swithc that will switch priority between USB input and the Ipod input. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

OK cheers, I do have that ACM module in the glove box. I have tried the AUX button option from the CD/radio itself. I will try the AUX option along with making sure it is at Ipod specific on the ACM glove-box module. If no joy I will go for the reset button/hole on the ACM

Do you know if this should work with any Generation of Ipod? Thumbs Up RRS 2.7 HSE Stornoway Grey
