RRS vs DB9

Hi all

I'm torn whether to trade in my beloved RRS (MY12) for an Aston Martin DB9.

My principal concern is whether it amounts to exchanging one bag of problems for a different bag of problems.

Neither can I work out whether I would maintain my self-esteem sitting low on the ground looking up at Range Rovers.

Views please!

I hear what you say but an Aston is a super car and a Range Rover is just a luxuary car. RRS (MY13) Santorini Black SDV6 HSE luxuary

I absolutely love my DB9 volante..... But I can honestly say, 9 times out of 10, I grab the keys for my RRS2...... And I never regret it! Now

You know what?

I love the look of the DB9 but the RRS with all its drawbacks particularly JLR poor customer relations is a user experience that I am loathe to relinquish.

So the DB9 remains another unfulfilled dream.

I'd rather spend a week-end with Kate Moss!

Sorry did I say that? Hmmmm! RRS (MY13) Santorini Black SDV6 HSE luxuary

Try driving a DB9 over speed humps as fast as you can in your RRS................ Also come the first flakes of snow your Aston would be wrapped in cotton wool in a heated garage somewhere whereas you would have no fear of being out in the RRS. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Jock - I moved from Scotland to East Sussex in September 1986 for a job (just married and living in a caravan looking for a house) - lovely climate - what could go wrong Rolling Eyes

It snowed for the first time in like 20 years and I hadn't the money for a LR back then so driving a Renault 18 - don't you believe it never snows darn sarf Big Cry

Luckily my supervisor had a soft top S2 so although we were wet and freezing we didn't get stuck like every one else Mr. Green

Getting up to frozen pipes and water bottle was a PITA though - 30 years later don't think SWMBO would be willing to try it again - not enough room to store her shoes and handbags Laughing

SWMBO fancied a DB9 for years until we got the RRS - she now says after that she would rather have a FFRR than a DB9 - maybe it's an age thing Wink Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!
