how much do you guys think a local LR dealer would charge to put new lettering on the bonnet ?

Hi . I have recently renewed the rear lettering on my s/c . Got the letters off eBay , and they were applied using a template they were pre-stuck to , so no worrying about spacing , you'd just need to make sure it's level. This would save you a few ££ . If you you tube search a company called powerful uk , they have some very helpful videos

The trick is to put the template on the old letters, mark the corners of the template, remove letters then stick template back on to your previous marks.

That was my worry !! But some masking tape and tape measure make for an easy job ! After I removed mine and removed all the old adhesive and washed all the grit off then finished off polished the area , there was a very very faint outline of the old positions , if you catch it in the right light this would help
