2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Heated rear seats

A quick question regarding rear seat heating on model year 2012 RRS
I have been informed by a rear seat passenger that the seat heating in the rear cools and then switches itself off after 15 or 20 minutes. Is this by design or a fault?
I have looked through the cars manual but it seems hardly to mention the rear seat heating at all. Hoping someone on hear will know.

Rears tend to have timers to stop then getting left on unnoticed.
