Spare wheel

Car came with space saver wheel.

Gone and bought new full size alloy (22 inch) and tyre and it seems too big to fit.

Have I done something wrong?

Thanks

Depending on the year of your model, that could well be, as on many cars 20"/21" was the biggest fit.
I'm sure someone with more history knowledge will be able to assist. John

I have a 22" spare in my boot ok? Mine is a MY16 and was a bargain for £200 as a factory option.

Very heavy! MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

The tyre diameter is the same though, Shirley?

My MY15 and MY16 both came with full size spare wheel, and at 22" fits fine, not tried pulley system yet, mbut hard work lifting out without!! could be the polystyrene is a different shape for those not having full size spare wheel as standard.

I also have a 22 inch wheel as a spare. Check tyre size as this may be the issue if the profile is high. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
