Just finally sorted out insurance for the new car which we pick up on the 1st September, ended up going with direct line, they were around half the price of the nearest ones who would quote, A plan sounded good but were nearly £200 more than Land Rover, NFU were the only other sensible ones. Be aware as direct lines phone sales guy told me factory & dealer fitted extras do not count as modifications but then the policy arrived & it clearly states they do class these as modifications, finally sorted this out with customer service with no increase in cost & a grovelling apology & more importantly new documents detailing everything in writing!

Glad to hear you managed to get your insurance sorted out. With Direct Line, as well, which is something of a surprise as a lot of folk have had problems even getting quotes from DL let alone a good price. See http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic44196.html. I too use Direct Line and have just renewed my policy with them which increased by £8.30 over last year's premium.

Must be something to do with Jocks being a better insurance risk than those poor unfortunates from Englandshire and all stations south!!!
