I picked up my RRSport on Wednesday and while having a play I noticed the oil is below minimum!
No warnings or anything just noticed in the service menu.
Going away in the morning so need some oil tonight really so Im limited to petrol stations at this time on a Sunday...

Is there a definitive list of oils that meet the spec, one that they're likely to have in a petrol station.

So far I've found the following

Mobil Super 3000 Formula C1 5w30
MOTUL 5W30 ECO CLEAN
Comma Ecolife 5W30
Shell Helix Diesel Ultra Engine Oil 5W30
Castrol EDGE Professional 5W-30

All these meet M2C934-B but are there any others before I start trawling the local petrol stations?

My book of words says WSS-M2C934-B spec, it's a 2011 TDV6 3.0 lump...

Any of those you listed should be fine, Valvolene, Fuchs, and Millers do very good oil too. Don't think there's much in it to be honest if they're all up to spec, although I'm sure they'll be a lot of opinions on this topic! I've also used Halfrauds fully synthetic oil (when the offers are on) in the past and that's been very good...

Ok this seems to be a fault!
I got some oil and put in half a litre, still said below minimum after a drive, so I put in the other half and still the same.
But I haven't had any low oil warnings, so I daren't put any more in!
Is there anyway to reset the oil sensor at all?

without sounding stupid have you warmed it up then switched it off for 10 minutes then checked it again ? i thought the same thing when i first got mine

Yeah, fully warmed up and check after 10 minutes as per handbook, still below min with no warnings at any point. I'll let the dealer look into it when I'm back home.

These things really could do with a 'manual' dipstick on them as well, you can't even tell the colour of the oil without!
I had a look the other day for a connector or such like for the electronic sender, but no clues under the bonnet at all
There is a tube that looks like a dipstick tube, however, comes up on the front left corner of the engine block (as you're facing it) and has a latched cap on it (like a BNC connector) with an O ring. Not sure if it's the redundant dipstick tube or not...

Is this possibly the gear box filler tube? I seem to remember I was told not for oil on L320 model.
I also much prefer to have a proper dipstick, don't trust these electric readout ones at all, and you have absolutely no idea of quality of oil etc without one. A stupid design decision.  John

RRS MY12 SDV6 HSE. Sumatra Black/Ebony & Walnut + Dynamic Pack, + Cold Climate Pack + Memory Pack, Digital TV/DVD, Premium Leather, Cornering Lights, Cooler/Fridge Box, & most Options.

I know, digital readout is nice, but at least have a back up dipstick!
Might try a hard reset, on hols at the minute so I'll have to buy a spanner to disconnect battery.
Got to be worth a shot though.

I'm not sure that you would like the old style dipstick that the 2.7 had, stupid piece of wire with yellow plastic beads on it that was neigh on impossible to read. My Defender has the best one I've had lrecently, the old style flexi flat thing with notches for min and max............ Simple and easy to read. Both the Evoques I owned both had proper dipsticks too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Is that not the Oil Extraction Tube when using vacuum pump to suck the oil from the sump as opposed to using the sump drain plug.

I've seen worse! Like a black plastic dip stick end. And your trying to work out where the oil is
