I'm about to purchase a RRS3.0 luxury 2012 model, seller said he's never put the tv on. I've asked him to verify it works, he believes its not getting reception of a signal to view a picture, any help appreciated.

Welcome to the forum - is it the Dualview tv system that is fitted or aftermarket ? If you could get me the VIN I can check to see if it was factory fitted that would be a starting point - from there you could work out how it works & try it yourself

Thanks for the welcome Peachy, I believe its as it left the factory, so standard not aftermarket . no screens in the headrests , Ishall get the vin number tomorrow. my thinking was its described as a freeview digital tv.

With the exception of the SE I thought all facelifts had TV as standard, if it has Dual View there will be a switch on the dash in place of the setup one.

Most 2012 models (HSE & above) had TV but doesn't mean they have Dual View (passenger can see left hand side of screen on move or full screen when stationary) and to after fit is a pigs ear. So you will only be able to watch when stationary officially.
It (TV) will require tuning in, if not done, and also each time you move to a different area, you should also be able to watch DVDs when stationary.
If you have the dual view button, it's "two screens on top of each other", no problem, but if the button says "setup" you don't have that facility. John
