Rear seat belts

I have a 62 plate sport with a genuine dog guard. Went out yesterday and the dogs eaten through the rear seat belts.

Anyone had this problem before?
Anyway to stop this happening except to put a muzzle on the dog.

Not personally had the problem but when I got my car, had to get the dealer to change the rear belts because of the same issue.

My dog is crated at the moment but would be interested for any solution for when she no longer is. Divider is one option I guess, only 1 belt gets eaten, or a crate which slightly negates the need for a dog guard.
