Just ordered the F770 - it seems to be the dash cam of choice on the forum & the reviews I've read & seen put it above my previous Blackvue 650 2ch IMO

+1 Thinkware F770 . Tried F800 Pro slightly better camera, more compact, and cosmetically look's more attractive but due to location of lead connections being on the opposite end of unit not possible to get a discrete wiring installation, which personally annoys me. If they did a for want of a better description a R/H/D version would be o.k. The 770 is a good camera and piece of cake to install.

Econ, I will also be looking for recommendations and a fitter in central London to fit one when my new car arrives in the new year. If you find a fitter in London, do let me know. Jas Current RRS: MY18 SVR Previous RRS: MY15 RRS 5.0L Autobiography |

Me too for the Thinkware F770. Not that I’ve anything to compare it with as not had one before. But it does have built in speed camera warning mode which, if you can put up with the american voice, does save me splashing out on another piece of kit. And it also has battery condition monitoring for the park mode. And it does have other safety stuff, most of which I’ve turned off. Picture quality is good. I’d get it professionally installed if you want a really neat job but I put up with the wire at the back cos I don’t want it to be too discrete. I want people to know there’s a camera in the car so they look elsewhere for their idle vandalism pleasures. I've had the RoadHawk HD for 3 years and recently bought a second for the wife's car. Can't fault it. Superb quality and a few options to suit preferences. I cannot comment on others. Barrie.

I've got the F770 and its great. Had it installed professionally with Dash Witness who made a very good job of concealing all the wires. The picture quality is very good, but as others have said the speed camera warning with an American woman is infuriating. |

Just had dual dash cams supplied and fitted by this firm. https://www.mobilesystems.co.uk/ Dash cam system is the Blackvue 750S-2CH (upgraded and updated version of 650). It is expensive but quality is excellent especially front cam. Lots of adjustments and options including on/off for GPS. Rear cam can cope with tinted windows by adjusting brightness setting. Fitter did an excellent job and took his time in order to both get it right and to not cause any damage to car. So highly recommend them ( I have no connection!). Cover a wide area including London I think. One of the few suppliers and fitters that are 'Thatcham Recognised'. |
