United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
RRS TDV8 test drive today

Called by my dealer today as I was passing and enquired if they had their TDV8 demo yet.
Blagged a half an hour test drive with the missus and kids on our own. Wink
Very nice. Very Happy
Only things I didnt like were no adjustments forward or backwards on the headrests and the best I saw was 19.6 mpg and I wasnt raggin it?? I did reset the thing and drove in town to start with then did about 10 miles on the open dual carriageway. Big Cry
Car had only 52 miles on it.
I cant wait for March 1st now when my car should be ready!! Bow down
PS it really does sound like a V8 petrol?? Exhaust noise!!!! Whistle
Very deceaving speed too no drama just smooth un interrupted forward motion.....keep an eye on the speedo folks!!!! Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Birdy, over 500 very varied miles this last week mine has done 22.4 mpg. My TDv6 averaged a couple more mpg, but she was well run in. Its great that the TDv8 can produce all that extra power using only a wee bit more juice Thumbs Up And you are soo right about watching your speed. I got flashed by a camera near Jedburgh during the week. I knew the camera was there so was deliberately keeping her to below 60mph. Was shocked that the camera went off and even more shocked to see that I was actually doing just over 70mph. It "felt" like about 50 Big Cry RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

This car will pull hard from 70mph and sit at over 110mph for hours. I know because I've done it. BIG fan of Autobahns. Will miss them next year when I'm back in the UK.
