Has anybody else noticed their car developing a horrible brake squeal..... I have only done about 5k and it's making a terrible noise on low speed braking!! Evil or Very Mad Now

7.4k miles and with windows down and sunroof open, I noticed this today. Only at low speed braking and when pedal is medium pressed i.e. no noise when foot on the pedal very lightly and when a bit hard but in between these 2 states I can hear it. Not very loud but still annoying (and embarrassing). Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Well known issue especially with the Brembos. A lot of us have gotten brake pads changed under warranty with mixed results.

Some say if you brake hard from high speeds on purpose it helps to remove some of the glaze that may be causing the squeaking.

I agree it's embarrassing. I've already taken mine in twice for the issue and it's still there. When I take it into service will ask for rotors to be possibly changed too. 2016 SCV8 Dynamic - Firenze Red/Pimento

My car is currently at the Dealership for a number of problems and one of them is brake squeal. Just over a 1000 miles and brakes squealing awful. The Dealership have changed 2 sets of pads and after consultation with Land Rover they have "shaved an edge off". As the car is still there I can't test myself but they assure me that there is NO brake squeal anymore Whistle Shocked

Shaving the edge off seems to have worked with mine!
