Jikjak - as a Canadian living in Belgium and with experience in shipping stuff in both directions, don't you think that a) the UK pound to Canadian dollar exchange rate is a little penalising b) While you'll save the UK VAT, you'll be hit with GST, PST and import duties (based on individual country of origin). This is not to mention the shipping cost of sending stuff from Europe to BC. UPS wanted over 500 EUR to ship my mountain bike (in a purpose built case) one way to BC this summer. If you are ordering body parts and wheels, the volume and weight penalty will really drive that cost up.

well i have been comparing prices and even with the exchange rate the prices seem better un the UK. for example the exhaust is 999 GBP compared to 3500 usd. if u send the parts by sea it shouldnt be too expensive. ive shipped parts from japan beforei know it takes much longer but i have time since my RRS wont arrive until december. i was planning to order parts before the car arrives. as far as customs is concerned, either way i have to deal with them whether it comes from us or uk. 02 m3cab (bye)
