I've always rather liked the Classic, along with the P38 too, but I think prices are a little strong:

It's a soft dash, so not a "classic" classic. But a very nice car. Agree with the engine confusion, clearly somebody didn't knew exactly what he's looking at... BTW how d'you reckon, a fully restored (frame/drivetrain/suspension/body/interior) LHD 2-door 1973 Classic in very good condition. What would it be worth in the UK? Actually the engine size appears to be pot luck!!! 4.2 and 4.6 in the "Headline" and 4.3 on the left hand "Special Features" section.

!973 is very early production, I was on a ship that carried the first 6 2 door Range Rovers as the first export models to Dubai in March 1976 and 4 of them were made into open tops because the information given regarding height was some 200mm wrong............ We had been given the standard height of the cars by Land Rover and as Aircon was not even an option on them in the early days these 6 had been fitted with a roof mounted Aircon unit that stuck up some 150-200mm ABOVE the roof................. Closing our hydraulic twee decks of the ship wasn't a problem but after 4 months in transit from Liverpool to Dubai when we came to open the tween deck something protruding beneath the hinges caught on the roofs of 4 of the Rangies and there was a horrible ripping noise as the AC unit got torn off, then part of the roof.................... Even in this state I got to drive one of them from Dubai port to the importers yard and vowed one day I would own a Range Rover. It took a while but in 2003 I had saved enough on my megre salary at the time to buy a brand new L322 TD6 SE in Monte Carlo Blue with Navy hide and parchment trim. I felt so good driving out of the dealership in it after 27 years of saving! I've only owned Range Rovers since then (I bought the Defender in 2001 when I got the off-road bug during Freelander ownership!).
