British engineering

Got the opportunity to have a cool pic of the car taken at the weekend. My wife bought me a voucher for a photoshoot with Just Jane, the Lancaster at East Kirkby Aviation Museum. I've actually had a taxi ride in this aircraft previously which was an amazing experience, so the chance to have another visit was great.

There were quite a few cars there, from Subarus, a Lotus, a Skyline, some bikes and a even a Skoda Yeti.

I got a proper framed photo, but this is one just taken on the iPhone:

The car even managed a pretty impressive (relatively!) 27.5MPG on the trip down at the weekend!

The Lancaster really is such a beautiful piece of engineering, but the SVR ain't bad either!

For anyone that's interested in WW2 and/or aviation, I can highly recommend East Kirkby. It's an old school museum but really brings everything to life as it was a real operational station which has been sympathetically restored over a number of years.

The Spitfire would also make a great photo companion for the SVR; two supercharged British legends!

There was an SVR in the same colour next to me for a few minutes on the way down to Poole at the weekend. Stunning cars, great picture Thumbs Up

How close are they to getting it a flying certificate or is it unlikely ever to happen?

Shouldn't happen. Far too many alterations required which would take it away from its original condition. Far better to keep as is and focus the flying preservation on BBMF/Thumper.

ETA: This was my last time with Just Jane:
