probably a stupid question

I have standard 19" wheels on my sport thinking of changing to 20" the tyres on both sets of wheels are 255/50 will the 20" fit as I thought the tyres needed to be smaller thx pete "Remember its easier to say sorry than it is to get permission " especially off the Mrs !!

The LR RRS 20" wheels and recommended tyre size is 275/40/20 but you can go up to 45 with no ill effects.
The ride on the 20" wheels isn't as smooth as driving on 19" and the low profile doesn't help IMO.
I'm sure others will have their own thoughts and advice on this as well. Smile John

Yupp, the 275/45 (as opoosed to stock /40) upgrade seems to be a common consensus. I run this size for a year now and certainly can feel the difference in terms of comfort. They look better as well, IMHO.
255/50R20 is my 20" narrow winter tyre, however it is not the best choice for a summer tyre. They're from a new RRS, right? Regards etc.,

Wojtek
