Slow acceleration

Hi All.
My 2008 rrs is very slow accelerating when pulling away at junctions and also slow to build up speed even if I put my foot all the way to the floor. Then all of a sudden it over comes the problem and all seems fine but if I ease off the pedal and slow slightly it happens again. There is no fault codes detected and the fuel filter was changed not long ago and the car was running fine after the filter change so i suppose it can't be that but not ruling it out.
Has anyone come across this problem and how did you fix it.
Any information that can help would be appreciated.

Lee

I was wondering about a MAF sensor being faulty, but thought you would get a error code?
A leak in hose to turbo would loose power to, but I'm sure one of our more knowledgeable members will be along soon. John

It sounds like a faulty EGR.

Well it looks like faulty Egr's as the fault light has came on but I haven't checked the fault yet but I had some feedback from a land rover mechanic and he said more likely the Egr's are at fault

Hi Lee I'm not sure ihow old your vehicle is, as there are members on here that have blanked the EGRs which I think would be cheaper, but it does depend on the model year, mine is 2012 and cannot be done. If you have a DPF fitted to the car, it definately can't be blanked off. (Diesel Particulate filter). Smile John

Hi John,
Not sure if I have that fitted as mine is a 2008 2.7. I'll have to check but I'm going to remove, inspect and try and clean them tomorrow and see if that sorts them out.

Cheers
Lee
