Hello I'm new to this forum having bought an Overfinch tdv8 RRS on Thursday. I finally gave up on my discovery3.

My car has a rear mid mounted DVD player that appears to be the standard model vub503870/1.

The thing works but I'm mystified how my son plugs into it to listen. The door mounted headphone jack sockets have been deleted and there is nothing next to the auxiliary socket in the rear console.

I am assuming I'm missing a part or some leads, also there isn't a manual or a remote. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I need to buy or where I can get it please ?

Welcome to the forum according to LRtopix the original fitting kit for that accessory is showing 2 sets of headphones & a remote control the headphones seem to be wireless - which is what I have in my Sport & the remote is needed so the rear passengers can interact with the screen without driver intervention.

Have you checked in the rear pull down centre armrest - the remotes live in there ?

No luck. I can get the wireless headphones easily. Any idea what the LR part code is for the remote ? I,veg checked online but they seem to be for my 2011 onwards

I have a couple of part numbers - one looks like its for the earlier Sport but matches your system on Topix the other is for your model year.

Best I can find just at minute is Headphones YIN500050 Infrared or YIN500051 Infrared Multiband which I think are the Whitefire ones.

Remotes: YUH500060 is for the Alpine System otherwise there are four different one's listed.

LR004011 2 Player, DVD System with Games £50.00 (I think these are Game Controllers)

VUB504170 DVD System with Games £55.00 (I think these are Game Controllers as well)

VUB503181 With Games £40.00

VUB503180 Without Games £45.00

Prices are a rough Retail Price without Vat.

I will try and narrow it down a bit more later on, but I think a e-mail and Vin Number to Dan at Duckworths might be your best bet.

I have a feeling these are the same as the Rosen ones as I'm sure L/R used the Rosen DVD in car System at one point.

Thanks so much will check that out tomorrow - really useful. I couldn't see any branding or serial number on the unit. It's the roof mounted beige coloured one with the DVD entry on the right and has no game controller.
