Not sure if this is an issue or me being finnicky. when driving and turning the climate control on, i have it currently sert on the blue dot : coldest option. Within 10 minutes of driving the climate control unit starts to emit a whistling sound, but only when i take my foot off the accelerator, when speed pedal is pushed again, the whistling stops. and it stops when i turn off the CC unit.
Any ideas what this might be.

Also, compared to my other cars, and certainly the wife's car, the cold air is far from cold. The intial full power burst when turning it on is cold but then it gets warmer? any thoughts on this?

Can't help you with the whistling problem, but has the Climate/Air Con system been checked at all? You could have a leak or any number of things.
People generally say get the gas/coolant changed/recharged, but shouldn't need to be done annually unless their is a leak, about every 4/5 years I was told by a Air Con specialist.
Must say mine is ice cold if left on Lo, or brings the temperature down quickly to 16c my normal setting when required. John

I've had the car for exactly 1 month. Bought from an independent dealership, so i presume it would be all checked over. Paperwork shows all services done, but probably worthwhile getting it looked at.
