New battery advice

Just checking before I part with my cash for a new battery, been having increasing flat battery issues of late, had it at the indies today and got them to plug in their seriously expensive tester. Starter ok, charging fine,, battery low on charge and only holding 700amps so it's looking terminal.
I see on the Tanya site that I am pointed toward an 020 battery type, but the general concensus on here seems to favour the 017 type. Is the latter definitly ok for a 3.6 V8??? 2010 RRS, TDV8

Hi,

I fell for that one the 020 will Not fit it is to Long 393mm I think, you need a 019 or 017 which I believe are the same spec.

019 for the TDV8. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I've literally just put a new battery on mine after it wouldn't start yesterday, then when I did get it started it threw up a few fault codes (scanned and cleared now though).

I opted for an AGM battery as they're fitted to lots of stop/start cars so should have plenty of power, and are reputed to hold their charge for longer. I went for the 019 equivalent.

I got mine from Longton Battery Services in Preston who did me a great deal on it, but are pretty good for other batteries anyway. A Varta 100A would have been £119 inc vat & 5 years warranty. Not sure if they deliver, as they're local to me I didn't ask. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.
