United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Colour/spec suggestions please... TDV8 arriving end of Nov.

Hi everyone.

I took the plunge and ordered a TDV8 from Stratstone Landrover, Lye (Stourbridge) this week. I've been told I'm third in the list for November delivery.... we'll see.

Anyway, saleschap asked me what colour.... I remember Top Gear featured the supercharged beauty in the mad red colour as pictured at top of the page... but he reckons no-one likes colours anymore, simply black or silver... especially for resale (I intend to replace the RRS for M3 arriving 2008?).

So for current owners or prospective one's, any suggestion of great colour combos and other essential spec items?

Thanks! Most of us are reptiles... only the enlightened few become human beings.

try white gecko... ask misery or umbertob, they will explain to you the advantages.. looks fab too.. not so sure about the resale benefits though.. hehe.. although they do say, white is the new black, i'd be boring and go for black/silver specially if i was to change so quickly, look at the poll someone started on here, i think 40% are java black, and if you remember we didn't have any trouble at all selling mine or Pauls RRS before the Rs4's arrived.

As others have said, white does seem to be the new black and it DOES look fantastic, just see some of the white owner's galleries.

Black & silver obviously the safe colours, but I've always been quite respectful of folks that choose the colour they want. If it's a Phoenix Yellow M3 or a Vesuvius Orange RRS, so be it!

Let us know what you choose! Very Happy

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Big fan of Rimini Red myself, and everyone comments very favourably on the colour. It seems to suit this vehicle's size and proportions very well indeed. Looks fab newly washed, and still looks smart after weeks of accumulated grime. It also helps you find yours in a carpark, as a silver or black one could easily get lost amongst all the others already out there Wink

I like the colour so much that I am replacing my Rimini TDv6 for a Rimini TDv8. Just have to choose the interior trim now. I have Cherry Wood effect in the TDv6 but dealer wants me to go to Rhodium (or something like it) in the TDv8 - decisions, decisions...... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

I really like the Black/Rhodium interior combo, but think the wood works OK with paler leathers.... don't think I've seen dark leather and wood, not so sure that would work so well imho.

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Bonatti Grey

I doubt if the colour will effect the resale on a TDV8 too much. It will be the TDV6 owners who will be taking the hit, as buyers will be trying to get the 8 cyclinder models. Matt

What wood? Or do you mean that clever plastic similacrum they call wood...I have the cherry with the Java Black premium leather and up close the wood looks...well, more like ersatz wood than real wood. Maybe the new '07 wood looks better. 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge
