United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I've just put a full set of Grabber ATs on so, along with insurance and a big service this month, not sure more rubber will get past the management for "a little while"... Whistle Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I have a set of Grabber GTs for everyday use and a set of Grabber ATs (on own 20" alloys) for when off road or green laning, didn't find the ATs so good for normal roads and motorways to be honest myself, but that isn't a criticism of them, just prefer the GTs for general use, don't wear out so fast either. The set of Continental 4x4 tyres (came fitted with), are still the quietest tyres Ive used but only good for summertime, and against what most say, they are not so good in the rain, haven't used them this year just stored properly for if/when needed. I had intended to swap from Grabber AT to Pirelli ATR for most use with a set of Duratrac for winter/off road. Sadly, supply issues along with poor timing (damaged tyres resulting in new required ASAP) meant I stayed with the AT again.

The AT can be noisy as it wears but it does otherwise seem to be a decent all-rounder. I'm a little concerned about the strength of them though as they have suffered damage on a couple of occasions. I intend to take 2 spares down to Spain in October just in case. Don't fancy getting a flat on the off road course with a thousand miles still to drive home. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

That's what I found with the Grabber A/Ts, I don't think the sidewall is strong enough as I have damaged 2 of them now on either flints or rocks. Tear in both sidewalls and but loads of tread left Rolling Eyes destined for the bin Big Cry

Have you booked for LR Party Spain? I'm defo taking 2 spares just incase, as we have 13 days including the party, smugglers routes in the Pyreness and I'm not taking any chances Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Haven't booked yet - it's on my to-do list Embarassed

We're doing a road trip down and back in order to visit a few places (and to avoid Jenny spending 24 hours throwing up on the ferry!). I've got a good-tread, 1/4 worn, tyre underneath as the spare and will take a 3/4 worn as a 2nd spare in the boot. Thought is that if needed the 3/4 worn can go on whilst at the party leaving the good spare for the road driving home. The thought of running 3 new tyres and one 3/4 worn on the road makes for thoughts of unhappy diffs... Shocked Also, having a spare in the boot means it's easier to get at if needed. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Do you have a tow rope for the party (just in case)? If not, there's one for sale on Disco. I've got the same rope and the 10m version and they are good. I'll have both in my vehicle - that way neither will be needed! Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

my spare is going on the roof rack as my ARB fridge is in the boot, food & beer always take priority Laughing Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
