I know. I have the full size 21" spare and removed it to look for the spare wheel lift assist strap (which I then found wasn't there). On that note, do you have that strap? It should be supplied FoC depending on your spare wheel size. I got it from my dealer later. Supposed to make the job of lifting it out easier.

Size and the weight of the wheel makes it almost a sure way of getting a back pain. Like Fkarim I got the strap tool free of charge as a service action, dealer said its only valid for 21 wheels. |

No lifting strap with mine, apparently my puny 20" wheels don't need one.

I also changed my wheel on the week end. I wanted to fit the 20 inch blacks I had purchased but only one would fit #@@. I decided to put the spare on the front and boy is it heavy. I do have the strap , and I see no logic to it not being supplied to all wheels as the weight and outside diameter should be similar, smaller wheels run higher profile tires. Not supplying the lift strap is another sign of the petty cost saving Land Rover does for no good reason. As a first time new buyer of the brand I personally think Land Rover has a way to go if it wants to be considered for more than the oval badge.

Calling LRA assist in outback Australia could mean you are dead by the time they arrive ! For that matter the nearest LRA, NRMA , could be a long wait in very hot conditions just for a flat.
