Fault code B1211 seat belt pretensioner.

Hi all. I have just put my 2011 Sport back together after an airbag deployment. I fitted replacement airbags and seat belt pretensioners along with a new control unit but I am now getting a fault code B1211 "Driver pretensioner ignition squib".
I have swapped the pretensioners from side to side to see if the fault moves with the pretensioner but it stays on the drivers side.
I am now wondering if the fault may not be in this area but something to do with the ignition circuit as all the dash had to come out for the airbag replacement.
Can anyone throw any light on this problem as the car is due it's MOT so it needs sorting.
Thanks in advance, Mark.

There should be another two digits to that fault code i.e. B1211-11 as there are at least 6 codes beginning B1211

Cheers

Hi. I have read somewhere that the main dealer scanner has suffixes to the codes but my Delphi scanner only shows the main code. I will get it scanned tomorrow at an independent Land Rover garage and see if I can get more info.
I'll post again then. Cheers, Mark.

Hi Colin. I went to get the restraints system scanned at the local LR specialist but both his scanners came up with the same incomplete code (B1211) although the Bearmach one did give a fuller description saying that the circuit resistance is above threshold. Could that be a trapped wire?.
I can check the wiring but it would be easier if I knew the pin location on the ECU for the pretensioner wires.
Cheers, Mark.

Mark,

PM me a e-mail address and I will send you PDF files of the wiring circuits for Supplemental Restraint System and list of fault codes for the Control Module. They are for a MY13 but probably the same or at least give you a idea.

Cheers
Col
