Nigel, you qualify for the FS&W rules already so you shouldn't need approval?

Ad fine, you might want to add your asking price into the main ad for clarity but otherwise OK Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support! |

Thanks, I know but left it too late to use Autotrader which would have seen lots of tyre kickers or spam enquiries. Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard

Hi Rob - don't laugh or cry; but a new Merc GLE 350d . I know it wont be as good off-road but it seemed to beckon me in the showroom yesterday. They are fitting tow bar etc as we speak but having to move quickly as we take the early morning ferry a week tomorrow. On road it drove amazingly well and I also took it down a road of really high sleeping policeman near American Golf in Chandlers Ford and the air suspension seemed fine. Running costs much lower and still a load lugger which I need for France. Been interesting running around borrowing 'readies' and loans from various sources. We will see how long term it goes. Always trade back if it does not turn out as hoped. regards Nigel Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard Previous 2012 FL2 liked but boot too small Previous to LR's 3 x Merc E320 estates - fantastic load carriers and long distance cruisers, ultra reliable. Only changed as needed a 4x4 high tow vehicle. Did have a 1955 early LR drop down windscreen and fuel tank under the drivers seat; again very reliable and super rugged. |

No takers so looks like the 23k from the dealer. Not sure on these tyres green laning a good idea. Happy to try and follow. (In my dreams) Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard

Buck we can always compare at next meet and I will give honest feedback. Going to be an interesting comparison. Obviously not comparing apples with apples off road but overall it will be an interesting comparison. Personally Rob with his old Rangie for off road green laning and a 2nd more practical 4x4 is best compromise. Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard
