Loan Car
So LR have my car in for inspection on my rear seats (leather issue) and also to sort out the fuel slap issue. I wasn't expecting much in the way of a loan car, but was pretty pleased when I handed my month old RRS SDV6 Autobiography over and was handed the keys to a 6 month old RR 5.0 S/C Autobiography with just 500 miles on the clock.
Pretty impressive unit and if it wasn't for the 10 mpg average I have done over the last three days, I'd be seriously regretting my choice of engine in my sport (particularly because of the lag on the SDV6). However much straight line fun I am having in the loan car, the drive just isn't comparable. The lack of a dynamic mode and the extremely light steering just makes it completely impractical when paired up with 500bhp. There is a lot more space in the front, but I prefer the snug cabin feel in the sport. The two things I really think are noticeably better are 1) the quality of the leather seats which show no sign of wear or sagging despite being 6 months older and 2) much better cabin storage.

I think the loaner is a FFRR L405 which does not have dynamic mode afaik.

Missed that!
Our SDV8 L405 does roll a lot more than the SDV6 L494. But then so does the SDV8 in the Sport...
