United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Santorini Black

Jock, I'll be able to do this for you once my workshop is up and running Thumbs Up

In all honesty though, you will be best waiting until September/October time, when the temperature cools down, as the Waxoyl doesn't set 100% in the warmer weather, and all the crap off the roads stick into the soft wax Thumbs Up

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Firenze Red

Good pictures there disco Mikey. Good job done too.

I will be taking my sport off the road for a few weeks to wax oil her chassis to make sure I do a proper job and most of all that I don't rush the job too !
Certainly looking forward to doing this dirty job Very Happy

I have decided to do the chassis with the black wax oil now as I think it will look better then the clear. Going to steam clean her underneath tomorrow and leave her to dry for a few days or a week then the waxing will begin Mr. Green

So it seems the chassis on the sports don't really suffer from bad rust then ? Just surface rust like most vehicles !

Re- Waxoyl

Hi Lads

Thanks very much for all the replies ,very much appreciated.

I did have a search on the Disco 3 forum and there seems to be a lot of debate on this topic and as Buckster has said there seems to have been a few horror stories attached to this.

Yeah the other product that after researching is Dinatrol which seems to be getting an even better name than Waxoyl. The people who are getting well praised are Waxworks Morpeth and their website looks impressive , they quote they are removing wheel arch liners etc .

I done my old Frontera runabout (nobody Laugh) last year myself on the vacant plot at the side of my house . Messy Job ,I was going to attempt the Sport but was a bit wary about all the electrics etc underneath so was looking to get someone who knows what they are doing.I was also wary how to clean the Chassis first with all the electrics around.

Thanks Mikey I am not in any great hurry to get this job done it only bothers me when I am under the car and see the surface rust. When do you hope to have the Workshop up and running? take it that its going to be in Dundee. Not sure what your thoughts are on Waxoyl against Dinatrol.

Cheers again Lads Jock Thumbs Up Bow down

Re Waxoyl

Hi Bobby

Thanks for the reply , I just hate to see the underside looking very rusty with quite heavy scabbing. I know it probably looks a lot worse than it actually is.

And as yet it appears that no one with the first of these has actually had a Chassis part or underbody failure. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. Just really want it to look better and hopefully prevent the dreaded Rust Worm as long as possible.

Thanks again Jock. Thumbs Up
