United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Arctic Frost
slight vibration when cold

My dads sport is a 55 plate 2.7 HSE. When its cold if you put it in gear drive or reverse and blip the throttle just to move a little bit, there is a strange vibration as the revs come down. Its a bit hard to describe, and for all know it may be normal. But a couple of times I have come to a stop again while the engine is cold, and it shuddered and stopped then shunted forward a bit. I thought some one had hit the back of me, but they hadn't. it did this on 2 separate occasions and never did it again. There are no faults logged so I really don't know what it could be or even if its normal. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks disco mikey, we have a hawkeye I think I can do it on that, it does seem a little rough on start up for around 20 seconds when cold but fine after that.
DrRob it has 93000 on the clock, dad has had it for 3 years now, he has had the belts done but I think its due a gearbox flush. It doesn't get used much any more unfortunately, as dad broke his hip almost 2 years ago and hasn't driven since. I take it for a week at a time every 6 weeks or so, or when dad wants to go anywhere. His license, is up next year and unfortunately I don't think he will get it back, so I may buy it off him if the problem isn't a big one, as he can get in and out of the sport better than my disco 2
Other than this the car is faultless and drives very smooth, with nice smooth gear changes and its a pleasure to drive.
