water in passenger well

Water in passenger well
Hi all
I've just bought a 2012 RRS AUTOBIOGRAPHY
Ive water coming in from under the passenger glove box area only when raining
No sunroof on vehicle and def not aircon
Seen mentioned on other sites Plenum Chamber
had a look behind glove box and found water dripping down from a filter above a fan assy
Car had fault on it when purchased from main dealer
Been in twice now and both times said can't find anything wrong
Don't think they looked very hard
Its just been peeing down again here so I'm taking it back tomorrow morning
Any thoughts gratefully appreciated

I had the same leak. The plenum chamber cover should fit tightly to the windscreen secured by a series of plastic clips; if it is loose, water gets in and drips into the air intake for the cabin ventilation system.

The best way to be sure of a fix is to pull off the external 'A' pillar trims then the wiper arms then the plenum cover. Make sure all the clips are in good condition and have the little rubber seal on them (some may break and need replacement). Then carefully refit everything making sure every clip is pushed fully home. If the plenum chamber cover itself is distorted or cracked replace it - a new one only costs about £45 or so. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
