England 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
engine management light on permanant

hi everyone Ive had my engine management light come on 60 miles from home the book says ok to drive unless it starts flashing which it did not so i got home but puzzled what it could be its very sluggish but i floored it just to try it really and it did kick in and i could have kept a good speed but didnt want to risk it too much but then all junctions really sluggish. Its a RRS 2.7 HSE 2009. only just had a compressor and 75000 main service done
Iknow it will probably need another diagnostic but can anyone give me a ideas of what the cause could be
many thanks

Mist likely EGR as Mike says. Thumbs Up
I can blank them out and update the software if that's of any interest? Means you never need to replace either of the egrs in the future. Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks Disco Micky and Bodsy
Bodsy what does it involve blanking off. What is being blanked off ? sounds great mate if it can be done but do you think it will solve the problem
do you think I should shell out for a diagnostic first ?

It's the most likely cause of the problem you are facing.

The Blanks go between the EGR valve and the pipe that goes to the air intake. There are two egrs and they both need to be blanked and the centre butterfly valve removed.
Then a software update to stop the engine management light coming on.
That can be done as a stand alone software update or as an add on to an engine remap if you wanted to take the opportunity for that at the same time.

I'll drop you a message.

Regards
