What's opinion on evacuating oil through filler hole? Do you get everything out or better to drain through sump?

Found oil filters for £27 and 'magic' Castrol 5/20 for about £80 for 8l. Thinking of doing an interim change at 7.5k/9 month intervals.

Is the evac method just as good as the sump method? Is there even a plug on the AJV8 lump? Evoque HSE Dynamic
