United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

What year model or price range as the newer ones get better and better. Build in cost of an extended warranty for peace of mind. Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard
Previous 2012 FL2 liked but boot too small
Previous to LR's 3 x Merc E320 estates - fantastic load carriers and long distance cruisers, ultra reliable. Only changed as needed a 4x4 high tow vehicle. Did have a 1955 early LR drop down windscreen and fuel tank under the drivers seat; again very reliable and super rugged.

TDV8 give you lots of smiles but twin turbo and very expensive if turbos go. TDV6 more reliable and should be fast enough. Could get an ECU remap later if you want more torque performance.

Motto is go for the latest model you can afford and then take out a Warranty Direct insurance. Look at other threads titled Warranty. Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Would also say to go for the least modified car you can find, if you REALLY have to have a body kit then there are only 2 models to go for, HST or very limited edition Stormer which were factory kits and are generally pretty good, anything aftermarket can look awful and doesn't improve performance, fuel economy (poor anyway!) or handling. Avoid any car that has wheels bigger than 20" as the car was not designed to have bigger and steer clear of anything that has had a remap/ been chipped. Full service history is essential too. There are a huge number of L320 RRS's out there and only a few have been seriously abused, but the problem is the car can hide seroius abuse well........... Above all have a contingency fund available for costly repairs, they will occur at some stage and is often the reason that people are selling their cars. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
