Whenever I go to the local Waitrose they pounce on me as soon as they see fifty shades of brown, my reply is always no thank you, I like it better dirty 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

I spent a good 6 hours cleaning and polishing by hand the entire RRS yesterday. Our others cars need the same kind of tlc given the recent weather. I never let anyone else clean my car, not even the dealership when it's in for a service. The RRS might be a 'work horse' but I'd never let anyone else clean it and we've only had it a week. |

I'm with Buckster. They look better dirty. Mine might get a jet wash when it goes in for a service if they have time.

A pampered Land Rover is not living life to the full, they look better when dirty........... Why else would Londoners waste money buying spray on dirt? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

To be fair we picked up our one last Sunday and it needed a bit tlc but I knew that when I agreed to buy it. Nice to get trims off etc and clear out the stacks of mud in them. Spent Satuday doing the rear brakes myself.

As Ned commented, I regularly see a brand new Rangerover getting the wash and scratch treatment at the local Asda carpark,,,,, this thing was straight out of the box,, tyres still shiny and heres a few guys climbing all over it with their sponges and buckets. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Last time I used local handwash for the RRS they stood on wheels and scratched rear panel above arches. I also noticed how few times they wet sponge from dirty barrel as they dragged dirt over every panel

Got to admit clean mine regular though did try driving through a flood before Christmas, didn't think much of the results. The guy in the X3 didn't like it either, he'd gone a step further and tried to clean the inside of his engine, his car didn't like it either !!! 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

We have a Tesco with a car cleaning firm based on the carpark, run by Polish people. They are superb, £17 for 3/4 of them for about 20 minutes, and they get the car really clean inside and out. Highly recomended 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater ))) |

We have the same at a local Dobbies Garden Centre, also owned by Tesco. No foreigners employed though, they are all local lads and yes they also do a good job and so far I haven't spotted any scratches inflicted after I've used them - even better value for money too RRS costs GBP6 for application of fine spray cleaner chemicals, rinse off, snow foam, rinse and hand dry. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
