Hi All, I recently purchased a new sunroof seal for my 2005 rrs, I fitted the seal by removing the glass and putting the new seal on and replacing the glass back in the car, but along the way I lost one of the 4 torque bolts that hold the sunroof on so replaced it with another bolt that was slightly different, anyhow when I went to open the sunroof there was a clunk wallop sound and the roof is now stuck half open, I tried the reset procedure by holding the button down for about 1 minute and nothing happen, and now whenever I press the electric roof button there is a loud constant clicking noise from behind where the button is and it sounds like it is chewing gears if that makes any sense, any help much appreciated, thanks

Perhaps the gears have stripped. Have you tried getting an assistant to press the button whilst you 'help' the sunroof panel in the right direction with your hands? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Yeah tried that and it won't budge, getting the car boked in later this week so fingers crossed for no rain ☔️
