Trip fuel Eco offset

I have noticed that in general the trip computer average fuel economy on the RRS is generally about 10% optimistic compared to measured values between fill ups. using the IIDTool I can see that under the configuration menu for the IPC instrument pack there are three calibration parameters. Kph offset (currently at 2%), speed scaling factor (currently 3.5%) and trip fuel Eco adjust (currently 7%).
Does anyone know if these settings just alter how the trip computer calculates speed and economy or if changing them would alter other features or settings that maybe I don't want to touch?

Also anyone know what the "easy entry" setting is for/does -----------------------------------------------

AFAIR "easy entry" adjusts the drivers seat, steering wheel and mirrors position to what has been programmed to the certain key used to open the car. It might also tilt the wheel and move the seat a bit in order to faciliate the entry, they assume the proper setting once the car is turned on. Regards etc.,

The 'eco adjust' calibration has been discussed on Disco 3 site:

I didn't bother since comparison of actual mpg versus the average shown on my dashboard showed a delta of only about 1 mpg over a longish period of commuting. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Wojtec: thanks that makes sense, I guess that is an alternative to the auto setting on the steering column adjust which I do have set to "auto" that too lowers the seat raises the steering wheel when I open the drivers door recalling previous positions when ignition is started. -----------------------------------------------

Thanks Paddi, reading that thread it seems ok to adjust the Eco setting. Also would indicate the +7% mine is set to is way too high. No wonder it does not match reality Thumbs Up -----------------------------------------------
